New Limited Edition Portfolio by WassinkLundgren

WassinkLundgren’s new Portfolio is a Limited Edition version of their original conception described here in an article published by the British Journal of Photography – Conceptual Blurb;

“It’s a clever idea. Rather than doing a traditional, leather-bound portfolio, why not make one on Blurb? And once you’ve decided to do that, why not make a virtue of it rather than trying to hide it? That’s what Thijs groot Wassink and Ruben Lundgren figured, putting their images into the Blurb layout then including the program’s text boxes and instructions. “A portfolio with a black, leather cover is a bit boring and it doesn’t really suit our work,” says Wassink.  “But a Blurb book is easily accessible, you can make it really quickly, and you can add in new work with every book you print. We just exposed the structure and followed the workings of it.”

This new Limited Edition takes the original idea further putting together fine quality prints, from various projects and presenting them in a conceptual print box that also includes the blurb book.

Martin Parr describes, “This ability to think around a problem and find an elegant solution is WassinkLundgren’s great strength, they have demonstrated this ability, not only with their own projects, but also for their magazine commissions. Now they invite other parties to accept the challenge of their creative energy. I look forward to seeing the result.”
